Our Mission

The mission of Caroline’s Corner is to promote mental and emotional wellness for children and families, and to provide opportunities for strengthening family resilience.  We serve Jefferson County, Indiana, with a goal of expanding our reach as we grow.  We aim to increase capacity for mental health services for children in Jefferson County and other rural counties, and to support projects that encourage good mental health and family resiliency.

Caroline’s Corner was founded by the McRoberts family following the death of their eleven year old daughter Caroline Marie in December 2024.  Caroline bravely fought brain cancer for seven years before her death.  Through her life, Caroline taught us many lessons, including the importance of self-advocacy and self agency.  Caroline was a bright, beautiful, sparkling child.  She was kind, compassionate, and mature beyond her young age.  She loved spending time with her friends and family, especially outside.  She loved gardening with her mom. She was greatly helped through her medical journey by receiving mental health services, access to support animals at the hospital, and learning to advocate for her needs and wishes.

While we will never be able to fill the void that Caroline has left, we can keep her legacy alive by supporting other children and families who are going through difficulties in life.
